I have seen many different ways to organize coupons including binders and folders. I find binders to be too heavy and folders don't allow you to quickly see what coupons you have.

I have found that the best way to organize coupons is to use a soft cover 4x6 photo album. The one in this picture is shown beside a full sheet of paper for size comparison. These are great because you can quickly flip through them and see all the coupons and expiry dates. They are not very heavy so you can carry them with you when you go shopping. I have one for food coupons and one for other coupons.

Similac Club

I recently signed up for the Similac club and I just received my welcome package! It contained two baby formula samples, two $10 Similac cheques, and two $5 Similac coupons.

I prefer this brand to other baby formula brands because Similac formula does not contain corn syrup/glucose-fructose (as far as I can tell from reading the ingredients list) whereas some other formula brands do contain corn syrup. I also like that I can get Similac with Omega 3 and Omega 6.

You have probably heard about Groupon, but there are also a number of other sites that offer daily deals that give you 50% or more off a gift certificate or product. I have used Groupon and the following sites with no problems. I will be highlighting some of the best deals from these sites, so you don't have to go to multiple sites every day!

A New Way to Coupon: Checkout 51

Another way to increase your savings is through a new app called Checkout 51. Checkout 51 is an app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod (with camera). It allows you to get rebates on specific weekly featured products. It doesn't require much effort to use. You download the free app (it is only available through iTunes for now), then you shop as normal at any grocery store. You take a picture of your receipt and upload it via the app. Once your total reaches $20 you can request a cheque.  The weekly specials and each rebate can be found on their site: http://www.checkout51.com/.

The best part is that you can use manufacturer coupons or store specials in combination with this rebate! Unfortunately, the rebates are limited to one of each item per person per device. So if you want to get a rebate for more than one of each item, you would need to set up accounts for each member of your family, and each  member would need their own iPhone, iPad, and iPod. Each person would also require a facebook account to sign up.

I have used this app for a couple of weeks with no problems. I haven't reached the $20 level needed to request a cheque, but I'll let you know how that goes once I get there!

Everyone loves getting a great deal, but not everyone loves to spend hours searching for a great deal. One of the best ways to save on everyday products and groceries is to use coupons. In addition to the tear pads of coupons you find in stores, you can print off coupons at home and get them mailed to you. Although I haven't had any problems using printed coupons, not every retailer accepts them.

I have a couple of sites bookmarked for getting print and mailed coupons. I haven't had any problems with these sites, and have always received the coupons I requested. These sites are also free to sign up for!
